1977 Star Wars: A New Hope Han Solo - Kenner
Almost universally a favorite character in the Star Wars franchise, Han Solo's action figure history is odd, at best. Originally produced with a small head (picture on left), Kenner overdid it a bit and produced a larger-headed version that was a bit too over-the top.
Auctions on both figures abound on ebay, to a degree I was surprised. Far more examples of both with and without the blaster are more prolific than any other I have so far researched.
The Breakdown:
Small Head Han incomplete: Small Head figure without blaster (or with repro)Small Head Han Complete: Small Head figure with original blaster.
Large Head Han incomplete: Large Head figure without blaster (or with repro)
Large Head Han Complete: Large Head figure with original blaster.
September 2016 IMPRESSIONS:
- Had some incomplete small heads go for a WHOLE lot of money, affecting the pricing. Expecting this one to come back down in October.
- Prices generally up in all categories.
